August 6, 2008
Gas scooters come in a variety of shapes and sizes, in fact they are often called gas mopeds, gopeds, moped motorcycles and even motorized skateboards. One thing is for sure there’s nothing quite like the freedom of being on a gas scooter regardless of the type it is.
These little gas scooters are first and foremost gas savers that can get over a hundred miles per gallon. The typical gas scooters is made from a single molded frame that usually consists of an automatically shifting transmission. They feature small wheels which are generally between 10 to 16 inches in diameter. The engine sizes range from 49 to 250cc in size.
Riders can sit or stand depending on the type of scooter in use. Most modern scooter are different from those built earlier by the fact that early scooter often resembled bicycles. Nowadays it’s seldom that you find a scooter that has pedals.
